Communicating To Build Trust While Driving Change

The pandemic and racial unrest in Spring 2020 exacerbated underlying leadership and culture issues within this national media organization. In response, senior management sought a strategic communications partner to help them lead through significant change, including staff reductions, CEO transition and evolution of the company culture.

Our Approach:

To ensure consistent and timely messaging to key internal and external stakeholders, we partnered with c-suite leaders on change communications strategy and tactics, providing counsel, managing project details and deadlines, and crafting communications. We also created a positioning plan to guide the new CEO and developed a reputation management strategy to mitigate risk and identify proactive opportunities.

OUTCOME:

Leaders throughout the organization are gaining a better understanding and appreciation of the value of transparent communication in building stakeholder trust and driving change. Increasingly, they are engaging the communication team as a strategic partner in the early/initial stages of change management.
